I just think that this is one of the hidden giants of SD's humbucker range (along with the Blues PA Trem, Demon). Very adaptable to different styles.
However as for cleans? ... that's why I have a '59 in the neck slot. I find that medium to high output humbuckers really suffer for clean sounds. Not saying the FS sucks for cleans but it has to be used right or else it doesn't sound great
And for recognizing other FS users here ... well I have this chip on my shoulder that there are a lot of myths going around about the Full Shred that are either incorrect, the product of vicisious rumours (SD cancelling the Full Shred was one), or cases where the Full Shred was mated to a guitar it really didn't belong in ... so I kinda like to check on the herd if you will ....
