Re: No verb or delay??
I have two delay pedals on my board and keep the Maxon AD999 on at all times set to an extremely short, almost imperceptable slap-back. It expands the note just a little and seems to bring my amp to life. Otherwise the amp is dry and uninspiring. I kick on the El Cap when I want an actual delay effect, and running it through the Maxon makes it less digital sounding .... not that it sounds too digital, but I prefer the sound of the two together. I don't care for my amp's onboard reveb so it is off. If I had a reveb pedal I might use it to fill up space when the guitar notes are unnecessary in a live band mix. Bear in mind, I almost always play in situations where getting a great sound by adding volume is not an option.
