Noise gate dilema.. ISP decimator or Rocktron Hush Super C

the laney vh100r is a fairly hissy amp on high gain settings, and seeing how it has individual FX loops for its clean or overdrive channel i would only be running the noise gate through the overdrive channel so i dont have to worry about it cutting off my clean sustain..

now for the NR unit i want.. well its either gonna be the Rocktron Hush Super C or the ISP ProrackG, im keeping it rack because A)ive heard rack units are better, and B) it goes with my setup ALOT easier.

so now the question is... is the extra 300 for the ISP really worth it if im just going to be putting it through the high gain channel? does the rocktron still effect the gain channel's tone and sustain noticably? and i dont want any volume cut like my G majors noise gate.

ISP, no contest. I actually used to use the HUSH Super C... it was an extremely touchy noise gate (decently effective, but more trouble than it was really worth).

The ISP Decimator has been the best noise suppressor I've used thus far and I'd love to try the Pro Rack G because I've heard it's even better than the Decimator (especially since you have one channel set for running in front and one channel set for the FX Loop) and since you're looking for a rack unit, it's perfect for you.
