Noisy MusicMan 5 system

I'm getting some buzzy RF noise in my Basslines MusicMan 5 system, the older model with the ceramic magnets. I've got the Basslines active electronics with the 3-band eq and the slap switch. The cavity is painted with conductive paint and the back plate is covered in copper foil. The pickup was installed by the bass manufacturer.

It's not a LOT of noise until you get into a studio or plug into my 300 watt stage rig. It's worse in some rooms than others, so I'm sure it's RF.

Is this a common MusicMan problem?
Should I suspect the (humbucking) pickup or the electronics?
Anything I can do to remedy this?
How do I trouble shoot this?
Anybody?

OK, how about this--
If the humbucking coil is dead, would the pickup still work?
Is this the result I would get?

Re: Noisy MusicMan 5 system

Since no one repied to my question on this forum, I went to the "Contact Seymour Duncan" page. To conclude this thread, here's what Scott Miller had to say in his e-mail reply to me. (Hope you don't mind, Mr. Miller.)

"If the preamp is buzzing, then it is likely the circuit board. The best thing to do would be to have your tech pull the circuit board for you and send it here. We will bench test it, and if it is defective, we will replace it for you. Before sending the circuit board here, be sure to call our customer service dept to get a return authorization number."

And THAT is excellent customer service! Thank you, Scott Miller! And thanks to Seymour Duncan for standing behind their products.
