Noisy SFX-01

Hi All

I purchased one of the above recently (used but looks pretty clean) and I've been using it set at about half way. My question is that there is significant noise at this level - and in fact when the level is turned right down. It's too noisy in my opinion and I was wondering if others had experienced this and whether there was anything I could do about it.

change the battery?

what kind of noise is it - hiss? crackle? buzz? .. id the noise variable with the amount of gain you are dialing in or is it constant?

have you eliminated every thing else as a possible source? .. cables, guitar? amp? other effects? etc?

tell us more and we'll try to help figure it out

The noise that I get is straight up gain. The only other noise is from AM radio, and where I live I can get that without the pedal LOL.

Call the duncan tech support line. They will still give you advice even if you bought it used. Good folks.

Sorry - been awat for a while. I only found the noise when I put the pedal in the chain. All there is is the sfx01 at the moment. Noisewise is like a hiss. It gets louder the more gain there is. If you're ready to fly into a number with the guitar volume high and the pedal on, it's almost unuseable. Does that help you analyse it ? Thanks

Any time you increase gain you increase noise...
