Non - response from SD

I am a little confused. I have contacted SD twice in order to find out how I can get replacement P90 pickup covers for my SD p90 pickups. The guitar I own is a Godin Core P90. It comes stock w/ SP90-1 (neck) and SP90-3 (bridge) soapbar pickups. It comes with cream covers and I would like black covers. I am the original owner. I have stated that I am willing to pay for them. I have emailed twice and gotten no response. What gives ? Has anyone had a similar problem ? Thanks.....

Re: Non - response from SD

That may work for the neck PU but the bridge PU has a wider/deeper cover. I know that if you buy the PUs from SD they come with both colors. I am still wondering why I don't get a response from SD.

SD deal with the world... if you're in states, give them a call.... I'd say youre also better off getting the parts else where... its nothing personal against SD, I'd just get quicker service with a dealer probably... that how the model of commerce works

Re: Non - response from SD

Thanks for your input and what you say sounds reasonable. However it still seems odd to me that no one at SD customer support can reply to this simple inquiry.

Trade show season.

SD sucks at email. it's something i've had to learn to live with. they are great on the phone though.

Re: Non - response from SD

Hey no beating up SD. They spend all their time on tinkering with the pickups.

Re: Non - response from SD

Yeah I sent an email a while back but don't really want them to even bother with it now since I've grown away from the idea I had emailed them. So whether they respond or not doesn't bother me at this point. I'll call next time.

the bridge PU has a wider/deeper cover.

Your Godin bridge/Treble position pickup might be a bespoke OEM variation.

Production line SD P90 replacement pickups fit the same size cover for either position. They also fit straight into Gibson P90 covers. I have SP90-2N pickups in the bridge positions of both my Gibson Les Pauls - under the original Gibson covers.

Not both. Either one or the other. (Specify when ordering.) There is not room in the product box to squeeze two covers.

I am still wondering why I don't get a response from SD.

In my opinion, you should direct your query towards Godin.

If I am correct about the non-standard dimensions pickup being unique to Godin, only they would have access to the parts. (There are supposed to be strict rules about OEM supplies.)

I second the idea to contact Godin. Godin is usually pretty good about getting back to you in a couple days. At least that has been my experience with questions.

Seymour Duncan here. I hate excuses. (however we are having some issues with our systems, sorry). Please contact me direct ar X1002 or boomer@. Thanks much for your patience!

Re: Non - response from SD

Maybe I'm just lucky...I sent email into the custom shop last week. The matter was not pressing at all. Less than an hour after I sent it, MJ took the time to pick up the phone and call me for clarification. This was not at all expected, but very much appreciated...

I've been dealing with Duncan for over 10 years now and as time has gone on dealing with them has become more and more difficult...in fact the last 2 emails I sent to get an order placed with MJ went unanswered...

Are you sure? I replaced the Gibson P90s with SD Custom Soapbar Bridge and Hot Soapbar Neck and because Duncan covers come in a different creme colour which doesn't match the Gibson pick guard, I tried the stock Gibson covers, but they didn't fit without drilling because of the slightly different pole spacing. The guitar in question was a Gibson Les Paul '56 Reissue Gold Top.
