Non-Reverse Firebird Studio

Re: Non-Reverse Firebird Studio

The original "non-reverse" series Firebirds were not simply the "reverse" shape inverted. They were altered to improve the strap balance and to do away with some of the more unconventional features. (Gibson believed that these issues had a negative affect on sales.)

Re: Non-Reverse Firebird Studio

OH MY GOD I WANT THAT SO HARD I'M PUNCHING MYSELF

I have to own one of these. I have to. I might have to sell something to get it, but I NEEEEDS IT.

That it the sexiest, classiest new Gibson model I've seen since the ES-339 (which I own) and it will be mine.

I have wanted a non-reverse Firebird with P-90s for forever, but they're only available as custom shop 1-offs or vintage pieces - both of which are usually outside my budget.

Re: Non-Reverse Firebird Studio

I have always longed for a Reverse Firebird, but those banjo tuners are a deal breaker for me. Once they can figure out the right tuners for it.... I'm there. I never really liked to non reverse birds. They just look like a bad Strat copy to me.

I'm pretty sure the Firebird V has the Steinberger Gearless Tuners on them...

Re: Non-Reverse Firebird Studio

Gibson has been hitting us with some really great stuff, lately. I love those non-reverse Firebirds. They always make me think of Gatemouth Brown, and Tonka. :)
