...but most things are small and way more expensive through UPS than the post office and of course people don't want to pay the extra postage. And it's not like a dollar more, UPS is a lot more.

You got THAT right. International shipping is a PITA big time!

And since I'm another Lower 48er and therefore have nothing to lose, my musical selection advice is....

I dunno what it's like on your side of the border, but I ship to the US all the time, and the paperwork is an extra five minutes, tops. It's basically one extra shipping form: My address, receiver's address, package contents/origin/value/weight and a signature to the effect that what I say is true. It's a pain in the arse, sure, but it's really not that big a deal.

That explains it -- it's a lot more work and hassle shipping out of the dread Lower 48 than shipping into it. If you only knew...

KT Tunstall needs better production, or at least less poppy glossy production, she's great live but the album has all the life sucked out of it. I say boo to the album.

Both are from my hometown of Winnipeg, actually.

Winnipeg is my hometown as well, and I'm still here. I'm not the hugest fans of either of those, but they're atleast different and since I couldn't think of any good metal bands from Winnipeg, I figured I'd go with that.
