Im getting a sound nnow when i tap the pups but half of the switch positions dont work

think it out.. figure what is connected to that part of the switch and go from there

to ground... on a pot or to the star connection

here is an example of a strat wiring using a star and where everthing is grounded.. actually.. its more of a hybrid star IMO..as most of the grounds still converge on the volume pot casing.. we each will find what works best for us

yep.. been there.. its usually where in the hell is the solder or surely i have another nut/washer for the pot
