NOS 2002 Hamer Artist. I'm the original owner. I bought it a couple months ago, but I have too many guitars and projects that need attention, so this one has to go. Originally, this guitar was a part of Valley Arts' inventory at their store here in Nashville. When VA pulled up stakes and left town a few years ago, some of their inventory was taken in by the Gibson Showcase store here. The Gibson Showcase is a mall store. How many people walked in there that had any clue of what a Hamer guitar was about? Probably not many. So this guitar hung around there, largely un-noticed until I decided to take in the red-headed stepchild
This guitar has very, very lite playwear. That is the truth. If you glue your eyeball to this guitar long enough, you'll find a couple of tiny, pinhead sized dings. Impossible to photograph, and inconsequential to 99% of us. No worming, no fretwear, etc. This is NOT a molested, abused guitar from Guitar Center. It's nearly perfect, in virtually unplayed condition. It's light as a feather. I removed the Duncan '59s and dropped in a set of Z90s which I like and will keep. I have returned the '59s to the guitar. The only niggle is that the jack holds the plug a bit loosely. It doesn't fall out or anything like that, but there's some play there. The jack itself seems tight. Dunno what the problem is, but I'm sure it's no biggie.
'59 sunburst finish...nice peekaboo flame on this one...a bit more interesting than some of the Hamer tops. Neck is a nice medium size C-shape. Plays great, sounds and looks great. Comes with original Hamer case in like-new condition, hang tags, owner's manual, key and truss rod wrench. $1450 shipped in CONUS. Not looking for any trades, sorry.
Here's some porn...err...pix:eyecrazy: Tough to photograph without reflections. If something looks funny, it's a reflection or some weirdness not associated w/ the guitar. Email with questions.
This pic looks funky, but it's due to reducing the file size for posting. The back is fine.
