Re: ..not real surprising, but I........

nice. where do u find them for so cheap? i havent been able to find one for that cheap anywhere. i should move to houston...

Re: ..not real surprising, but I........

..actually it's pretty simple, I usually buy amps in "non-working" order.....the benefits of being an amp tech.....these deals are not quite as common as you might think...last amp was a 2210 w/ 212 cab for $450..three years ago!

It's still pretty rare for me to give up cash!!

Well the obvious question is, how much money to get those puppies back in order? Worst case I imagine a tranny or something which would vbe the most exspensive to replace.

Re: ..not real surprising, but I........

mighty slick.

I'm just curious Jeff, but have you ever tried a fender tone stack in a marshall? Scott_F's amps will have a marshall preamp in one of the channels as an option, i just wanted to know if marshalls sounded any good with a fender tone stack.

I can hear it now...

"uh sir, it'll cost about $800 to repair it, but I'll give you $250 in non-working order."

j/k :)

You're close, but in my dreams it's more like......" this old tweed Fender is gonna be about $500 to fix it........ sorry but we have a $20 "disposal" fee since you don't want to get it fixed!....... :laugh2: (I am joking!...I would never do this!!!)

Actually, I promised the guy I would pay him $300 regardless of condition.... and apparently he needed $300....... works for me....

Quencho092.....the Marshall's like these I regularly mod to include an exact BF Fender "clean" circuit...plus a Marshall all in one amp! I will pay anyone $100 if they can truly tell the difference between my modded Marshall and a BF Twin.....

proxy.... Drake Transfomers are bulletproof, so not a big concern here!....more simply some other minor failure has occurred...don't know yet!

nice score

but what we're all wondering is; when is that amp company getting started up?

Re: ..not real surprising, but I........

yeah i think everybody and their grandma wants a Blackface clean sound with Marshall distortion...if you do that just for fun you should be rich y'know?

Dang, that is pretty awesome. But would a 50 watt marshall with a BF clean circuit sound close to a 50 watt pro reverb cranked? How do the el34's react to the fender preamp stage, and is it a sweet sound?
