i once again caught myself looking at les pauls and ran across this...i always thought the voodoo series was kinda cool...but man i love the insane grain pattern on this one...too bad i'm in the middle of of a strat project or i'd buy this for sure due to that crazy grain pattern...

also, here are two other Les Pauls i came across that i wish i had the cash to buy since they are both just odd/rare color combos and i rather have that than any typical burst finish les paul (yeah i like the odd ones)...

too bad the price on this one is INSANE or i'd consider going into debt for it lol...

Re: now that's some wild grain!!!

IMO the Voodoos look cool but sound like stabbed poo, way to bright because of the ash body. I don´t think that was the best Idea Gibson ever had....

But to each his own ;)

What would a swamp-ash top over a normal mahogany back sound like?

Huh. I woulda thought that stabbed poo would have a rather dull sound. Shows what I know!

Re: now that's some wild grain!!!

If you want swamp ash, go get a Tele. If you want a Paul (or SG for that matter) it's gotta be mahogany.
