Now This Is A Schenker Clip

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

OK now for my second fav UFO guitar player go to http://www.pchapman.com/

Bottom right there is a drop down for video clips, there is also some footage of a Scorcese doc on UFO ( I am pretty sure that is a joke). The downloads page has some demos but don't read about the Waysted debacle tht was their current CD.

Jeff, we know you linked us to that clip because of the Hamer bass!! :)
.

Scott is right that's some custom bass Chris had built for him...in England I believe..

BTW..Scott...yeah..Pauls site is cool...been over there a bit :D

Speaking of "pauls"...check out raymonds firebird in Lights out !

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

PS..if you are into classic/psychadelic type rock..check out the Scorpion's first album "lonesome Crow"...talk about some wicked playing...Mike was only 14 and just absolutely OWNS...on a black Paula, BTW :D

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

Oh, and Ben...that's the Rivera Modded Marshall in that MSG clip.

Falstaff...you mean in UFO? drumming?

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

It's hard to figure out if it was just for one show or if it's permanent, though.

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

Just a few shows I'd bet, Parker has his own biz out in Cali and is done touring from all accounts. I would love to see him back. Jason is a fantastic drummer but Andy is by far the sentimental favorite.

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

As you know, I'm not the best source for UFO personnel news. :)

There's some stuff on the Tonka messageboard about it. Hard to say, though, and it's not like Entertainment Tonight is too interested in the 'FO right now.

It's funny...there was also a link to an interview of them that said that Bobby Rondinelli from BOC was upset that most of the crowd was there to see UFO when I saw that bill in 2004. It was true, fo' sure.

Tangent:

I tell ya what... Bobby can friggin drum his @$$ off...check out Finyl Vinyl from Rainbow.....GREAT drummer...

Ritchie Blackmore has just always surrounded himself with the best musicians...

David Coverdale

Graham Bonnet

Ronnie Dio

Jon Lord

Ian Paice (my fave drummer EVAR)

Cozy Powell (#2)

Glenn Hughes

Roger Glover...

Ian Gillan

just all unique and STELLAR musicians...

yup..double live album...last one from Rainbow (came out right before DPs perfect strangers)

Its got tracks from every Rainbow incarnation..Dio, Bonnet, and JLT...plus a couple of b side studio cuts

phenomenal guitar album...I wore a copy out as a kid...

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

It would figure Bobby would be upset about that, he is a bit full of himself IMO. Probably has a grudge against Jason for being Bonzo's kid or something assinine like that.

Jeff - you like Lonesome Crow? I'll have to go back and listen it has been ages maybe I'll hear it with different ears this time around.

I do actually...although I dont play much in different styles..my likes in guitar music are quite varied. LC is definitely psychadelic Free Jam stuff..with Jazz influences (as well as LSD, I'm sure :laugh2: ). But I really DO like that album. Some great melodies, some great rhythm section work...love Klaus' voice of course.

And best of all, little Mikey JAMS on that album...when you consider it's 1971/72...and he's only 14...and his contemporaries of the day?

And it's FAR better than the UFO albums pre-schenker ;)

Re: Now This Is A Schenker Clip

Killer clip by MSG in the prime! That was the stuff :)
