It is new pick day! I just got this 10-gram sterling silver pick from Fender. The packaging is very impressive. You would think it is a rare coin.

I have practice tonight so I will use it for a couple of songs. After that, I am going to pack it back in the box and send it to the jeweler to be put on a silver chain. That is unless some magical tone comes out of it. In that case, I guess I would have to buy a second one. I have another pick that is similar that was cut from a quarter that I never gelled with. This is just for the bling.

I havent tried a sterling silver pick, but I tried a brass pick once and absolutely hated it. The sound, the feel and the thought of the tip of the pick running down the face of my guitar leaving a huge scar, made me get rid of it.

I do like the necklace idea though.

I played it a bit tonight no big thing. No holy grail of tone. It is not the pick of destiny. Plus, I know I was holding back on my playing as to not scratch my guitar. Once I switched picks I had a great practice.

As intended it will be a piece of jewelry.

The intended purpose was to put it on a chain. Fender does have them available again.

I got some metal picks from Timber Tones a few years ago that came pre-drilled for a chain, lol.

I actually like them for the feel and harsh attack.. I also have a couple aluminium guitars and the metal picks tend to compliment them.

I choose wooden picks. My "life changed" when first tried them; and will NEVER go back!

...just a bit sad; about the Wish picks. Since i suspect them to be made out of rainforest etc. :/

rosewood, maple and ebony picks rule!

(btw. I'd buy that silver pick. If it was half the price. Silver isn't THAT expensive per gram.
