Got to work and had a package waiting on my desk. Silly me had the pedal shipped to work and then took a sick day.
Line 6 MM4
I know it isn't anything spectacular but I am excited about it.
I hope to give it a run through tonight.
A big factor for me in going this route for my modulation fx was that it is multiple effects contained in a single box. It's a larger footprint but it takes multiple boxes off of my board.
I've played with the unit before and really liked it. Now I just need to get some serious hands on time and tweak to my liking. I don't use a whole lot of modulation so I was ok to compromise with a multi-fx unit like this.
I am aware of the pros and cons of dedicated stomp boxes rather than these units.
I plan to definitely use chorus and phase. My amp has onboard tremolo that suits me well enough so I won't be using the MM4's trem.
I will probably reserve the last two settings for some trippier effects or maybe some stereo fun.
Does anyone have any settings you'd like to share from yours?
Also is it worth it to get the expression pedal?
It seems to me that it really is the same thing as the double preset mod you can get done but it fades in rather than just switches.
Or is it possible to run some sort of footswitch rather than an expression pedal to go from a mild to a more extreme setting?
