NPD NPD PD PD D D!

I used to be a multi-effects digital type guy, until recently when I abandoned this for a guitar straight into amp approach. However, lately I've been gassing for some new effects. I really wanted to get a real tube tape delay/echo, as I feel it can serve many different purposes. So finally I pulled the trigger on the Fulltone TTE!

You can get a really nice tube sound into the amp without coloring the tone too much. Also, I found with the input volume turned up, it can drive the front of the amp really nicely. Cleans up with picking or guitar volume and just reacts to touch and behavior just like a tube amp. Additionally, the delay is just so natural sounding. I've been really enjoying it with a nice slap-back. It can be set up with really subtle echo and tones, or with a over the top type repeating delay signal. Right now, I just leave it on the whole time, and everything sounds fuller and great with the TTE. Its an expensive unit, but seems to be high quality in build and sound. If you are creative it can replace a few other pedals, and do things that no other pedal can. So far its great!

Thats a big jump...digital multi effects to a tube tape echo unit!

Cool move though.

My EP-3 is in the shop at the moment and I can't tell you how much I miss it!

Sweet! I've always wanted to try one of those. They look soooo bad! Good luck with it!

Re: NPD NPD PD PD D D!

Very nice. I've always wondered how that thing sounded. Always thought it had better be amazing for that price tag!

Re: NPD NPD PD PD D D!

oh like all fulltone products they sound amazing I can't afford it though, I mean I guess in theory I could (I'd just be trading in my two pedaltrains (including all my pedals) for it

Based on your signature I fixed your statement...

I loved the echo plexes but was thinking that a newer design may make maintenance a bit easier.

It does sound really great. Worth the price is subjective but like I mentioned it does a few different functions for me, so it's not much more money than it would take to acquire a good tube boost, reverb, analog delay, etc. They seem to hold their value well on the market too, so if I ever need to dump it, it shouldn't be too hard. The feel of a tube preamp and taped echo is definitely unlike any digitals I've played before. I know there are other good analog and digital delays out there but once I had the gas, I knew I wanted the real deal.

Don't worry I'm not playing it through that miniature Marshall...I just take that around the apartment to play because it's nice and portable.

Re: NPD NPD PD PD D D!

I've always really wanted one of those, but just couldn't bring myself to spend that big.

I'll bet it sounds even better, being used in a space with hard wood floors.

I should go down to my favorite music store and put the Fulltone next to my Deja Vu, just so I can learn the ideal setting for my Duncan delay.

Very awesome! Congrats man! I've played through an original Echoplex before and I loved it!
