NUGD........ it's a Dreamsicle!

Re: NUGD........ it's a Dreamsicle!

You might be able to get a switch that auto splits the humbucker when both are on- that would be cool. The HS setup has always been a hard one for me, as I miss the neck + middle tones. And the balnce is always off, unless you get a low output humbucker, and a higher output single, which sometimes isn't right for the music someone might play on a guitar like this.

Thanks again, folks!

Yeah, I've thought about a freeway switch for other guitars I own, but I guess one would be handy here too. But I don't know, I'm still pondering and I've got other guitars that need pickups and whatnot, so this one will probably stay as is for awhile.

Re: NUGD........ it's a Dreamsicle!

A small update. I finally got around to playing the Dreamsicle through my Marshall JVM and Splawn Pro Mod. It sounded great. I A/B'd it against my DK2M that has a JB & Jazz in it, and wow is there a difference between having a tone circuit and not having one. This is the first time I've really had a chance to compare the two, and like I said earlier, I may still yet start modding my other guitars to go without a tone circuit. This is also the first time I've been able to describe a JB as being articulate. Although, it still doesn't have the balls that the Custom has in my Les Paul, but that's a different animal.
