NUGD Signature T Gold Top

After decades of not owning a "Gibson" LP. I finally have one again.
Last one I owned was an 80's LP Studio back in the 80's.

I picked up this 2013 LP Signature T Gold Top locally off Craig's list. Seller was a really nice guy. Kept the guitar in really great shape. Very clean. Only some light pick scratches and a tiny, tiny scuff on the back upper edge which I should be able to buff out. Easily could pass for a floor model at a music store. I got it for $1200 used. I thought was a very decent deal. I just need to put some new strings on, polish her , oil the fretboard and set her up to my liking. :cool2:

Here's some pics.

Re: NUGD Signature T Gold Top

Congrats man! I picked up a Signature T in vintage sunburst earlier this year. They are fantastic guitars, and looks like you picked up a great deal. Let us know if the pickups are the stock 57 classics, and if you like them. So far I've kept mine stock, other than getting a blank truss rod cover instead of the T. It looks sharp in Gold, nice find.

Re: NUGD Signature T Gold Top

+1 for a plain truss rod cover.

Black/cream bobbins might look better. Covered 'buckers better again. The WLH pair, perhaps? :naughty:

Re: NUGD Signature T Gold Top

Thanks, guys.
Yeah, I thought the same thing, get a blank truss cover. The big "T" does stick out a bit.

I have to spend some time with her yet to see if I'll swap pickups or not.
First I'll do a 50's wiring though.

Re: NUGD Signature T Gold Top

Congratulations!! Goldtops are just always classy looking.

Re: NUGD Signature T Gold Top

Nice! You'll like that a lot. I have one in Alpine White Burst. They are a fantastic Les Paul!
The Granadillo fretboard got flack from the Les Paul snobs but they missed out. It's a sweet wood and sounds just like Ebony.
They are pretty mucha special edition Traditional Pro. I have had mine since 2013 and I'm in love with it.
Congratulations!

Congrats on the new axe!!! Amazing axe family you have!! And I KNOW there are gorgeous Carvins not even pictured!! I had an Edwards Sykes once. Want to get another one!! Great pictures as well! Very cool to recreate the old one, bare feet and all!

That Carvin head a reissue or original? How do ya like it??
