Nuno Bettencourt pups

well, my first thread...hi guys

...so i received a wahsburn n2 guitar of a friend of mine last week...and i can get a nice, crunchy distortion; i can really get that zakk wylde sound with my peavey and that guitar.
i really love that pup sound (the pups are the Washburn 423 bridge and 421 neck) and i wish to know of the advanced nuno bettencourt model ones; i kown that models have duncans, but i don´t know of which ones...btw if you don´t know of the pups, which ones should i get to nail that sound on mahogany axes, (maple necks and rosewood fingerb...) with both fixed and locking tremolo bridges...

I did a search for it and all the results were the same, they have a bill lawrence
500XL in the bridge

Correct, he uses the L-500XL.

Wow Nuno has some awesome tone! Ive been listening to extreme's early stuff and its fantastic!

If you want a duncan for the bridge i dont think you can go past a JB.

Bienvenidos amigo, I don't know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to say "hola." I lived in Rota (near Cadiz) for about 4 years (1988 - 1992), and everyday I have a nice thought about Spain. I can't wait to return to visit (2 more years).

well, i think i will give that bill laurence one a try...i already have a tb-4 on my ibanez js 100, but it´s a bit different to the w324. this one has more mids ("balls") imo

The Dimebucker should be close to that Lawrence pup. Dimebag also used the same pup Nuno used before he switched to Duncans...

I have a Lawrence 500XL in a Hamer Chaparal. Very cool pup!!!

I'm actually pretty sure that Nuno used the L500, not the L500XL.
