NUX Plexi Crunch

Stopped by my local music store to get a set of strings and saw this pedal along with a few others by NUX. This one immediately caught my eye because of the name and the Marshall colors. I have no experience with any NUX pedals, so I wasn't sure what to expect and it was priced at $49... metal housing... felt like a quality pedal. I asked to try it out and it was cool, so I ran it through the new Friedman Jerry Cantrell 40 watt combo. Holy crap this pedal sounded awesome through this amp! Very Marshall JCM 900. More gain than expected and the presence knob is nice. I like the tone better than the JJ crunch on the amp itself. I tried it next through the 5150 Iconic head with a Mesa 4×12 cab and it sounded even better... I ended playing on the Iconic for a good 20 minutes, then bought the pedal. Pretty sweet for the price. I'm glad I picked it up. I haven't played it through my rig yet. Soon.

Anyone try this Plexi Crunch?

Yup, I own one, best bang for the buck, I play it thru my modded Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue, I honestly have a difficult time getting a bad sound out of it.....

I've been intrigued by this one. Watched many demos on it. I may have to pull the trigger. How's the construction?

The pedal is metal and has good build quality. Not all plastic like a Behringer. Switch feels good. The knobs are plastic like many pedals are. Its a hot-rodded Marshall. Lot of mids. Doesn't feel cheap. Feels and sounds like a much more expensive pedal. You should get one.

Good sound is where you find it.

Sounds even better than my Mooer UK Gold 900! That has full bmt and gain/vol controls, but no presence...
