Now to figure out the setting 7 riff to The Final Countdown and Runaway!!!!

Re: NWAPD

Nice! I’ve been eyeing that one myself lately and thinking it might make a nice little tax refund present to myself. I got their C9 Organ Machine a couple of years ago and use it quite a bit... and yes, even during gigs! It’s pretty handy.

I really like how they’ve nailed the polyphonic thing... makes it so that the single-note-only synths become pointless.

Re: NWAPD

I am thinking about the Mel9, which replicates the Mellotron. This technology will eventually be able to replicate most sample-based synths.

Re: NWAPD

Played it a bit. Just a quick run through the settings. Definitely some cool usable sounds easily accessible!

Re: NWAPD

How is the tracking? And are there any artifacts or glitches if you change technique like the early guitar synths?

NWAPD

Yes, it’s polyphonic... and it tracks beautifully, although that’s probably not the right word for it. This is an oversimplification of how the technology works, but it’s truly more like an effect pedal than a synth in that it colors the whole sound (whether a chord or single note). Because of that, it even “tracks” fine with string bends. I don’t have that one, but I have the C9 Organ Machine (same technology, different sounds) and it’s freaking sweet. It’s REALLY badass when I use it with my 10-string.

Re: NWAPD

That's awesome. And terrible.

Now i have to decide whether to GAS for the Mellotron pedal or the sitar one.

I've wanted a sitar guitar for decades.

Re: NWAPD

OK - at the moment - just using the wet output.

Jump is the Oberheim X I believe

Final Countdown might be good with the Mini Moog setting....

Bwhahahahahah

There are some little noisy guys I need to quash. Might use a string dampener...

Re: NWAPD

Are you just planning on using the wet output, or will you look to double up with the dry so you can play guitar in parallel with it?
