had them on only a few minutes...so far I like them. Brighter than Cobalts, louder too.
Not crazy loud but noticeably so.
They dont feel any stiffer but I notice my neck has more relief with these on.
I keep my relief very small between .005-.007 and I can tell when it goes up.
They dont feel rough but Ive only played them for 5 minutes.
They are in the running for sure. Its down to NYXL or MmmSteel.
I might use both: keep the brighter set on my broadcaster which is darker
than my Esquire which will have NYXLs.
One thing I noticed is I get clearer note separation which is nice. I do a lot of merl travis alternate bass line
type stuff and having the bass notes pop is crucial or it just sounds like mud.
also helps when i get my Luther Perkins on. being able to palm mute and still twang
