O.D Pedals

Re: O.D Pedals

thanks guys!!! But with the old 808's mod, will it get all that old noise like the orignal had? or is it alittle more quieter

Re: O.D Pedals

I borrowed a friend's TS9DX while back, and for what it is, I found it worked really well. The tone was as it's always been described to me, and the four settings offered plenty of variety. I also used it as a gain boost with my Randall, and it didn't get muddy or anything, only added nice gain and pick attack. I would say go for it and get it modded if that's what you want.

Re: O.D Pedals

I bought a really cheap Chinese ts808 clone called "Daphon ED20OD" and it works wonders. Great tones for the $25 it costs.

I still say you should research what others say about the $40 Digitech Bad Monkey.

Not a bad suggestion. Or better yet try one! There have been plenty of good things said about that series of pedals.

Re: O.D Pedals

The Bad Monkey is a great pedal, especially for the bucks. Try to get one made in the USA. I also like the Chandler Tube Overdrive, I have the Rackmount version and just picked up a BK Butler Pedal. This is the one that has the same circuit as Eric Johnson Chandler.

Great pedals all, but make sure to get one the does not use a wall wart, but houses a power transformer inside the pedal and plugs right into the house AC (120 volts here in the USA)

Re: O.D Pedals

I just picked up a Bad Monkey today - analog overdrive. Clear and warm, very nice through my clean channel with the bright switch on for Fendery type distortion.
