IMO a Floyd's fine tuners & ergonomics are so uncomfortable, there's no point in having one on your guitar unless you plan on using the full extent of it.

I made one for my edgeIII Ibanez and one for my friends floyded Japanese Squire
Works great
Made mine from a slice of angle iron and a small set screw
But it looks identical
They were $10 on Amazon a while back
They do have a noticeable thud when the block hits the set screw

I only use flush-mount NFT Floyd Roses for the most part, so I too am among the "there's no point to it" crowd.

If you can find a plastic screw cover that fits over the end of the bolt it'll deaden the noise quite a bit.

And, tho I agree with the Free the tremolos movement, a trem stop is good if you are using a DTuna and the guitar is not routed for clearance so you dont scratch the top with the Dtuna and to keep it stable.
Lil Pigbacon, those are a simple, yet effective trem stop. I liked mine just fine in my Kramer. But had to remove it when I put the large trem block in it..

I agree with you guys, I never got the fad where guys would lock their floyds and render them useless.
Another product that was hot and made me shake my head were those BBB's because they definitely hinder the range of the Floyd and pretty much renders it useless.
Don't get me wrong they could have their uses like maybe for recording or something but for the most part they seemed gimmicky to me..
Old Man Kahler would've gotten away with it too if it were for those meddling kids...

I have one of those but have never used it.
There is another product called a Black Box which, I believe keeps the trem full floating but sets a “zero” point that the trem always returns to. This allows the use of a D-Tuna as well as the guitar staying in tune if you break a string.
The Tremsetter does the same thing too but requires more modification to the guitar.
I personally prefer the trem to be up against the body as a “dive” only setup although one of my guitars is a full floater with a Tremsetter.
If it was good enough for Eddie, it’s good enough for me.

I use the Black Box, as I feel it gives me the best of both worlds. With it, I still get full functionality out of my Floyd but also allows the use of the D-Tuna for quickly switching to drop D. Also, a plus is that in the event of a string break during mid-set, my guitar doesn't go out of whack so it's still playable until I can change the strings.
