Oh Lord, I'm pumped (Q as well)

I just got my first pedal working . I'm so proud of myself. I need to add another gain stage though. It's on the board it's just not wired in at this point. I'll get clips later.


One question/thing gone wrong. Artie, the batterie is getting quite hot after I run it for ten minutes or so. Why is this happening? What can I do to fix it? Is it a grounding problem?

Now you've gone and done it... You're hooked for life now. Good job man!


Last time I had a battery overheat on me, something was shorting the battery out, IE connecting the + straight to the - of the bat. My pedal wasnt working though at the time... so I'm not sure. But check your wires to make sure you're +9V connection (even on the board) isnt making contact to any ground connections, even no specs of dust between them. I'm sure Artie can help more.

That's what the problem was. The two were both connected to the power source by accident. :smack:
