Re: Ok call me crazy....
Do YOU even think??
A recording is different than one guitarist playing alone to acheive his sound. This situation by the OP isnt a band recording scenario where two guys are getting their own sound and mixing it. Each man has his own sound, and thats what I'm saying; to get your own sound, having two amps is absurd, becasue then, and I hadnt really taken this into consideration till you just said it, you'd have 4 or 5 different amps in the final recorded mix- absolutely preposterous!
Too many cooks spoil the broth ( or havent you heard that?)
Your just blowing smoke buddy- one good amp is all anyone needs..one GOOD amp, and where do you get this crap you are spouting of all of the greatest recorded music from guitar legends used several different amps?... OR that double tracking with different amp settings on the same amplifier is tantamount to using two different amps??
You are so effin full of it! TUSH THE EFF UP NINEFINGER! YOU ARE MY BIAAYATCH!
Do you even think before you type? You do realize that most recordings ever done have multiple amps on them. Even if there wasn't 2 amps, it's often the same amp double tracked with different settings, so in essence, it's 2 amps. Go through your junk box and find something that'll allow you to run both of your Marshalls together, EQ them to where they compliment each, and then come back and tell me they don't sound better together.
