typically drew, a larger output transformer tends to really let alot more clarity and bass response. It clears your amp's throat so to speak, and lets the power get delivered more efficiently to the speakers.
The marshall major OT would be a good idea for your application, but there are other choices. Mercury magnetics makes fat core OT's that give you more warmth and low end than typical OT's. You might lose some of the amp's breakup characteristics in the power stage, but you obviously don't want that to begin with so you should be fine with one of the higher powered OT's such as the marshall major.
