theres a second hand one in a shop by me, £799.. they sounded fine with trades, looks like its houseclearing time

played it as well.. such a sweet looking and playing guitar- everything is easier to play on it, and its got one of the FATTEST necks i've played, its somewhere between a C and a D (no matchstick shred-only axes for me..)

anyone owned or played one? come on, make me want it some more :laugh2:

I have loved the look of that Ibanez but, if it has a fat as hell neck you might have to count me in also!!!

i know! i started playing and it was like 'errrrr'... *checks headstock* lol

it's like my strat in neck profile (thick C), but theres the slightest feel of the wood grain the neck, its like a matt finish.. beautiful *drools*

i dont mind the radius of this neck either - flatter than a strat, definitley, but not uncomfortably so

Those RGT2020's and great guitars. I'm not a fan of the natural finish on 'em though(now the finish on the 3020, thats a different thread). I was supriesed at the 'not thinness' of the neck when i played one also. I didn't think it was that fat. I didn't feel like gibson's 'obese' neck profile to me at all. I didn't get to play it through and amp though so i cant comment on the sound.(sorry).

I think you should get it if you like it and it seems you do, so get that beast of an axe!

the dudes in the shop plugged me into an ENGL halfstack, i think it was the screamer or powerball? i was satisfied with the stock pups, but not blown away.. i think duncans will find their way in there at some point..

anyway, i love the natural finish, too my parents actually like the look of it, as well hehe

to put it in context..

£799 (second hand RG2020) = 255 (MIJ fender strat, secondhand) + 450 (DSL 401, new) + 2 decent used boss pedals..

considering i wanna keep the strat and the marshall, its like.. ouch :burnout:
