Xeromus
Tone Ninja
Alright here are my plans for my warmoth strat. There are a lot of definites, and a lot of undecideds. I'm hoping maybe you guys could help me out with this. I'm about ready to order the parts.
Neck definites:
Full birdseye maple contruction, warmoth pro, angled back headstock, 25.5", abalone dot inlays, standard thin back profile, Jumbo frets.
Undecideds:
1 5/8 or 1 11/16" nut width, I'll figure this out on my own later, heavily leaning toward 1 11/16".
straight 12" or 14" radius. I can't decide on that yet.
locking nut or graph tech nut, see below for that.
Body Definites:
strat body, heel contour, top routed, dual humbucker. I decided to add a little flash to this one and go with a two tone flame finish, candy blue over alpine white.
Undecideds:
Wilkinson or Floyd. This is also dependent on the neck radius I choose. I want the bridge saddle radius to match the neck for better action. OFR's are only available in 10" so that's out, but The Schaller one is available in 14". The wilkinson has adjustable saddles so that's not an issue.
If I go with a wilkie it'll have a graphtech nut and sperzel locking tuners. with a floyd, locking nut and grovers.
Body wood, I'm heavily leaning toward basswood with a maple cap, other options are solid basswood or solid mahogany.
I'm not really a heavy trem user, but I like it to be there, and something that can take some abuse when it's needed. I don't have much experience with a wilkie so that's taken into consideration.
Let me know what you guys think. If you guys make suggestions it's okay if you suggest some stuff outside of the box here, but try to stay somewhat limited to the different options I have here, the key is I'm trying to NARROW down all these options to a guitar that'll be near perfect for me.
