Yes you do. Floyds pwn. Even rubbish licensed floyds are more fun than vintage trems, if you treat 'em right.

I've always felt a great amp is sometimes more important then a great guitar in some ways...

I'd agree too - but my previous guitar was so bad I had to replace it before the amp. Haven't ended up extremely better off, because the good fretwork has been offset by the nut being too high - the DXMG just doesn't play well. I just don't know of any techs around here that I have confidence in, unfortunately.

My uncle lived down there for years, somewhere near Auckland-hope i spelt that right.... He now lives in Texas but from what i remamber him telling me about that part of the world is there is not a hell of a lot around.... In fact he is coming up to Canada this weekend..... But i do remember him saying that a lot of goods had to be mail ordered.....

Yep, Auckland is right.

And yeah, most of my purchases are from overseas. There just ain't much around.

There's probably some places here with good luthiers, but I don't really want to be travelling 3 hours or something like that if I can help it.

You need to take it someone who has a drill press and who knows how to deal with broken off screws like that. They'll drill a hole in the broken off screw and then thread a reverse thread "easy out" into the broken off piece and unscrew it and get that broken off piece out of there again. Lew
