Okay, so black oil dye for ebony fretboards, questions:

Seems simple enough. Any precautions? Will it dye the abalone inlays too? Does it wear off, rub off on fingers, is it permanent? Anything I should know before I try it?

You need to make sure to tape off the inlays.
