Older set of Classic Stack Strat pups with Maroon covers; Cool Rails...

I have an old set of Duncan Classic Stack Strat pickups with these cool maroon pickup covers. I have no idea how old these are, but I've never seen another set like this so they have to be pretty old. I've had them in my pickup drawer for a long time just waiting for the right color Strat to put them in, but I really don't have any plans on getting a red Strat so I put them up on eBay.

those red ones are rare and desirable. I have the same exact set and I was told mine were from 1978 or so. I may be bidding on this to get a second pair...

Searching around the web I've seen a few pics of Hot Stacks with the red covers, but no Classic Stacks. So I have no idea about their history at all...

Cool! Yeah, I'm pretty close to Central Gwinnett High School. Any damage from the storms yesterday? We had a couple big trees fall close to here. One of them, about three doors down, took out the lines and we were without electricity (and the internet) for about 4 hours. Thank goodness I'm in the city limits or it would have taken longer.

BTW, you own a Maggie too?

My dentist is right across the street from Central. The only damage was a short power outage. Luckily nothing more than that. I DO own a Maggie. She is an M10A. Can you say LUSCIOUS, true pitch shifting Vibrato?!?!?

Yeah, varistor vibrato is the coolest. I have a '57 model 213. And I also have a Warbler Juke 1210, which is one of the few current production amps that uses NOS varistor vibrato circuits like the old Maggies did. It looks like this one here but mine is green...
