Just some pointers.
I was going to get one of these until... I found out the top is actually a picture, thats not real maple, its just a pice of paper with a picture of a quilt top on it.
The floyd's springs make contact with the body and squeek badly. Over all the whole guitar is made very poorly, its good for a beginer, tho pricey. If you already have a squier, this wont be much of a step up. look on ebay for a real peavey wolfgang!
You can find em all the time for not much more than a MM-1F.

As for the brightness argument, how 'bout just finding a darker-sounding example of a real maple-topped guitar or the more common approach these days: veneer? Let's face it, fotoflame is all about being ultra-cheap.
IMO, fotoflame looks like dog doo. I owned a fotoflame Dillion and I hated it every time I looked at it.beandip said:

You guys can shove it!
hehe said nice, i love my olp however it is a standart trem guitar, the floyd one's SUCK BAD. Even mine took a little work but apon getting one it will need new tuners and pickups.

I was careless and layed it down right on the jack with that cord in, stripped the screws right out, duct tape saves the day again.

You can tell whether it's photo-flamed by looking into most parts of the body cavity and examining the thickness of the top and the general look of it.
For the record the OLP's sound about as good as you can expect any other peice of chipboard guitar to sound like.
Sure...it's wood. But it's not a quality wood that will probably last terribly long or retain tonal qualities. The addition of the excess of glue that's necessary to keep the chunks of wood in place has to do something to the sound.
