OMG ESP Can Make Strats!

Re: OMG ESP Can Make Strats!

That's very nice but missing the scalloped fretboard & HS3/YJM pickups.

Just get a fleet of yngwie guitars and change out the tuners and the pickups/knobs/pickguard.

I wouldn't change a thing about the YJM guitars. Before this year is up I will own a candy apple red and a vintage white. That's a good idea bro. I could get the vintage white and put a pearloid pickguard on it and there you have it! Excellent!

i didnt find a esp vintage plus for $6500. more like $1300 or so.

still pricey, but not plasma screen pricey.

Once upon a time I had those three :) Now I just have one, but I still love it

Re: OMG ESP Can Make Strats!

We're talking the price of a 1 of a kind Santana PRS with Brazillian Rosewood neck, 10 TOP, birds, and a signature.
But it is still just a PRS;)
ESP makes great stuff.....got my self another Navigator on my hands now...Candyapple red with a rosewood board....
Gotta get myself that one.

Re: OMG ESP Can Make Strats!

See my opening post. That one is $6500.

Some info needed here and possibly a slight qualification...

Where did you get that quote? From ESP? Or from a shop that had it and was saying that is what they'd charge you to buy it right now.

I looked into getting a custom made (to my specs) ESP before and the quote from ESP was really high. However, they gave me the M.S.R.P., not what the store I'd have to order it through would actually charge me. That price you gave puts it in Navigator territory. Given it has ESP on the headstock, I doubt it'd be over $5k. And there are plenty of Custom shop Fenders that are that much. You also have to consider that most Fender Custom shop guitars you see for $2-3K aren't true customs (custom spec'd by the customer). That ESP is.

So... you're not likely to pay $6,500 for that guitar. At least I wouldn't think so. You'd likely pay much less. And, ESP makes some great stuff. Especially their custom shop and navigator guitars.

That's the price I got from ESP sales. I asked a local dealer to quote me and he said it was really expensive. That was enough for me to buy this instead :)

Re: OMG ESP Can Make Strats!

I love how it went from "oh my God I have to have it", and "it's made how a Strat should be made" (and Im not even sure what the hell that even means!) to "$6500...no way not for a ESP Strat copy!" Real quick...

FWIW, those ESP's are good guitars, not great guitars IMHO and also IMO a Good (again, not great!) Fender Strat is a "better" guitar...

Also, FWIW...that gold hardware looks terrible on that guitar...

I personally love the way the guitar looks exactly like it is and still have G.A.S. for it but I will not spend that much on a strat. Les Paul maybe but that's still a big maybe.
