On the bench - Ibanez MC 924 bass

I have a one owner MC 924 bass in the shop right now. It's the mack daddy of the Musician basses - neck through body, 3 band EQ, the works. Never had a proper setup, action is high at both ends and the truss rod has a serious dip. I'll take care of it, and make it sweet.

What it needs is a new A string tuning machine - Ibanez VelveTune B II model. Someone dropped it and the thing doesn't work right anymore. I've checked the usual online sources. Anyone have one in their parts box doing nothing?

Those were mega basses back in the day.

You'd need a gold one, right? I'm guessing you don't wanna fork out $100-200 for a single tuner .

These tuners are chrome, but the bridge is gold. And it doesn't matter what I think about the price - the client is the guy who'll pop for it. He'd be good with $100, I think. He hasn't answered my emails yet, but he travels for his job. He'll get back to me eventually, and there is no hurry.
