One pickup split for stereo?

Does anyone make this? I'd like a pickup where I can send strings 5/6 and strings 4/1 to different channels.

thanks,

Re: One pickup split for stereo?

Leo Fender kept on going in that direction, the one everyone remembers
is the precision bass pickup, but the Z pickups for G&L guitars and some
other split hummers at Fender (on the Fender 12 string?) were like this.

You might be able to find some of those if you don't want to do a
full custom and are willing to live with 3+3.

Also, you could take a GK2A synth pickup, which has 6 leads, or a bridge
with peizos, and do this.

...but if you are doing what I think you're doing, look at the OC-3
octave divider from Boss. You can get an octave doubler for only
a certain range on the guitar, for instance, just the low 2 strings.
Charlie Hunter on the cheap.
