Okay, here's a question for you.

Take a cherry head like this and someone wants to use cream chickenhead knobs.

What color faceplate?

Brown, charcoal, black?

I can get either a brown, black or blue leather handle to match, so that's not a big deal.

What do you think?

I think charcoal faceplate would look best with the cherry and the Cream knobs.

Black would look goofy with the cherry toned wood. And brown would just look cheap (imo).

I dunno about handles or any a that.

Charcoal sounds like a sweet mix to me. I don't forsee brown looking right with a cherry head and black is a little too much of a contrast.

the current faceplate goes great with the cherry but creme chickenheads would offer zero contrast. I'm less fond of charcoal or black with cherry.

See if you can get faul marbled....green and black.

Better yet....someone Photoshop ***** knobs on it and freak him out.

C'mon and help a brutha out. My brain is totally saturated with NAMM and I can't think straight. I think earlier tonight I may have prematurely launched our next stomp box on this forum before our reps even got a chance to see it first.

So help me decide the colors for this amp. My brain is mush...

my thoughts, I think a cream colored bezel with black chicken knobs would look killer with the finish on the head. But since you want cream colored chicken knobs I would go with charcoal for the faceplate, or maybe even something lighter like gold.

black or charcoal with cream knobs would tie in with your logo, although you wouldn't notice that much from 15+ feet.

If you went with black or charcoal, I'd suggest something like a pinstripe around the edge to define it a little better, and make it pop some. Or, you could have a clear pinstripe and do the lit up Matchless thing.

I don't know what you plan to use for the wood, but I'd consider flame maple - it takes stain so well, looks killer, and well ... it's flamed.
