Orange Micro Terror

I recently purchased the Orange Micro Terror with the one by twelve cab. I also have a Boss Metal Zone Pedal and Decimator Noise Gate. There are some days where it sounds totally killer and some days not so great. Are tube amps just funny like that or is there some way to correct this? I usually get a muddy sound when its not sounding great.

Tube amps are, in general, not funny like that. The Micro is also what I call a hybrid, tube pre, SS power amp, in the Micro, although it can be the other way around; Musicman amps come to mind.

Check to see that the pre amp tube is seated properly, and working properly in general. Beyond that, I'd go with what nedcronin said.

I'm assuming that your pedals work fine with whatever other amps you have.
