Orange Micro Terror?

Re: Orange Micro Terror?

Completely fried the RCA today, it was old and came out of a trainwreck but it sounded really good.

What does that mean? (Sorry, I'm finnish...)

Since you brought this thread back up, I'm might update that I didn't took apart the PPC108 cabinets I bought. No matter the cheap construction, they sound and look brilliant the way they are (with the Eminence speakers seller had upgraded them with). Even with the relatively low sensitivity of the drivers, that TT through two 1x8 is hilariously loud setup for it's size.

Can you imagine an all tube, gig worthy, setup easier to carry around ;)

The RCA 12AT7 I put in the Micro Terror burned up and failed (=fried)

The tube had come out of an old Bassman that had some serious issues.

Re: Orange Micro Terror?

I have the Micro Terror and the 1x8 cab. The micro is cool but I would take the other's advice and stay away from the cab. It sounds very dull and lifeless (I know it's just a little 8 inch speaker, but still beware)!

Re: Orange Micro Terror?

I have one I run with a 2x12 as a practice amp. I run pedals in front of it for drive and effects.

I'm very tempted to get a micro dark for the effects loop or something else that sounds good in headphones though.

Re: Orange Micro Terror?

My practice amp for home is the Orange Crush 35rt. My new practice amp that I purchased 3 weeks ago is now my number 1 go to for the campground for those campfire tunes and just practice when I am there is the 3 watt Blackstar fly. Don't be fooled by the size of this little gem. The speaker is 3 inch you would not believe the sound that comes out of it. it has delay, distortion, Mp3 player usable, headphone jack. This thing is amazing! My guitar buddies are impressed! runs on 6 AA batteries. I have put 20 hrs on it and is still rocking on the batteries that came with it. There is a pack you can buy with another speaker that plugs into the main one and a DC adapter as well.
