Ordered a Dimarzio Super Distortion for Maple Solid body guitar-advice

I ordered a Dimarzio Dominion Neck - Medium Output pickup for the neck.

No idea how this will go

I dont really have a lot of Dimarzio experience.
I Don't dislike the Dominion Neck. Have you tried the PAF Pro? It's kinda like that but with more of a Ceramic vibe. Works well with the Dominion Bridge.

i used dimarzios for a bunch of years back in the day. its a ny company and they were everywhere. i have a 36th anniversary i need to put in something. in general i prefer duncans voicings. still have an old sd, fs1, sds1, and a few virtual vintage strat models.

I had the 36th, I put it on a tele bridge pos with 500k pot, good but never really liked it at all, it had a sort of delay on the attack I've never really get along with , it's the only pickup I tried where I've had this strange feeling, at the time I explained it my self with the fact it was a airbucker, but it's in the hypotheses field

ive thought about de-airing it before i put it in, but i figure i should try it as it is first

yeah i wouldn't say the super dist is particularly bright or trebley but it does have this upper mid edge the sticks out in a way my ears don't love. it's almost like a raspy or scratchiness. I'm not sure how to describe it. Putting 250k pots on it never quite fixed it

Super Distortion is probably my favorite bridge humbucker, Alumitone is probably my favorite neck
