Nothing against this forum, but is there a larger forum where I can get more answers quickly? There don't ususally seem to be lots of people on this forum. Thanks guys.

there are bigger forums... I've been a member of a few... but from my experience they all suck.

The forums at guitar.com move very quickly, but it's not the same kind of board this place is. It's very very lax on behalf of the admins, almost obnoxiously at time.
You can ask a question, but you'll likely have to sift through a few unnecessary posts to find your answer. It's not very often that threads are even created in the right area. The two sections that get the most traffic are Electric and Miscellaneous, so there are usually quite a few off topic threads in electric.
That's not to say there aren't plenty of helpful people there, because there are quite a few. I have gotten to know some of them rather well, that's pretty much the only reason I poke around there anymore. But if you go there, go with tough skin and a sense of humor.

Big (or large) does not necessarily mean any better. But if you have a specific query that you want to ask then this place is the best and you will usually find someone who will give you honest advice. I belong to other forums as well but this place is home to me.

Having seen other guitar forums, I can say that the amt of nonsense here is kept to a minimum. I can't believe what some people post in other forums as answers to questions!

i like this forum over ALL the other forums i have been on, i have been to ALOT, my mosthated forum is the ultimate guitar forum, its like hell in forum form lol.

This is a pretty large and very cool forum I think. Lots of varied players and very imformative and friendly. you guys are all way cool to talk to.

That's gotta be the Jackson Charvel forum for me, there seem to be tight groups on that forum discriminating Junior Members. I am still a Junior Member there and was an easy target for a nonsense tread from an established member about me, I was able to clear my name since a few dutch bros of mine also post there and I simply had lain down the facts, but that's still a very bad experience for me. I'm not saying everybody is rotten there, heck no, but that small 5% seems to dictate what is wrong or right, because they seem to have dealt with eachother quite often :smack: . Another dutch JCF member once told me, they talk more BS over there than a person can stand, and I believe a member of this forum swore off forums after his negative experience there. Anyway, there are a lot of good people around there, but it's rather an aristocracy than a meritocracy which doesn't count for this forum. People are respected for their kindness and knowledge around here and not because we're a bunch of friends who pet eachother's ego all the time and feel like we're better than one another because we've got more posts or a higher forum ranking
I'd advise the Harmony Central forum, I'm not a member, but I know a lot of people who are, and I always use their search function whenever I need advise I can't find over here or anywhere else on the net. Give it a shot! :newangel:
