Output of Gibson P-90?

Does anyone know how the output of a (modern) Gibson P-90 compares to that of the SD Vintage P-90? Also, are Gibson P-90s calibrated so the neck has less output than the bridge or are they both the same?

Thanks,

Re: Output of Gibson P-90?

The SD's are a little hotter (I have one Vintage bridge up into the 9K+ range), a little more high end (maybe due to the old school baseplate design?). The Gibsons weren't calibrated back in the day and a lot of the neck pu's were hotter than the bridge pu---as might befit guitars that were intended for jazz players. They are calibrated to some extent lately (about a .5-1K spread in the ones I've seen). They are also using the newer flat plate base and a wiring connection that I'm not crazy about.

The stock P90s in my '78 LP Pro both measure about 7.8-7.9 depending on the temp :D

My SD Vintage P90 neck measures 8.2-8.3 under the same conditions. The SD Ant bridge goes 8.3-8.4
