Ozzy's No More Tears

Re: Ozzy's No More Tears

Seems a bit dark. If the mic is not close to the amp, try moving it on the grille without touching it ... do a search for positioning. If you have that nailed, are you on the bridge pickup, and if so, more treble would smooth the overall tone out for the rythm and lead. This would also help the harmonics jump out. Over all, gain and mids with bass nail it, just needs a bit more brightness or treble. This might be in the mic staging or your amp knob.

btw ... How are you recording the guitar track?

Should have asked this first, but opinions are never second.

Get the mic closer to the amp, or upgrade the mic.

You can get a shure sm57,
then get a cable that's xlr on one end for the mic and 1/4" jack on the other,
then get an adapter that changes the 1/4" mono jack to 1/8" mono jack.

This will allow you to use a high quality instrument mic with your computer, and the total cost would be less than $120. You will definately appreciate the upgrade.
