I love Mike Ness' tone, I've never heard such a good crunch out of a Fender before.

Amazing. I play an ES-135 into a vintage Super Reverb and that is *my* sound...I love that tone.

First clean, then with the glorious Monte Allums DS-1 - gives me an almost Billy Gibbons tone.

I have a video in the tips and clips section of me playing my ES-135 through a tube screamer into a Fender Super Reverb. I think it's worth a listening...my playing is kind of meh but the tone is there!

Thank you sir, I'm a huge fan of the tone of that P90 equipped guitar through a tube screamer into a nicely turned up Fender amp...it makes me very very happy

P-90 Guitars + Fender amps = 60 cycle hum.

I know...same thing is true of a vintage style Strat or Tele but I like that tone better and I'll put up with the hum to get it.

Never got on well with P-90's: to strong to sound like Jimi or SRV and not strong enough to sound like vintage Clapton, Peter Green, BB King...or me!

I like P-90s just because I feel single coils have this round tone and can clean up really easily. Then humbuckers have this very full sound and I can get the best of both worlds with a P-90. I understand they are not for everyone but I sure do like 'em! :14:

I use this rig...it sounds like rock!
