Hi Guys,

Well, everything's in the topic... Which Bridge/Neck solution would you choose?

Solution 1:

Bridge: P-Rail SHPR-2b
Middle Bridge: SDBR-1 Duckbuckers
Middle Neck: STK-S10N YJM Fury Neck
Neck: P-Rail SHPR-1

Solution 2:

Bridge: JB Model SH-4
Middle Bridge: SDBR-1 Duckbuckers
Middle Neck: STK-S10N YJM Fury Neck
Neck: '59 Model SH-1

Sound and Music: Any kind from Country, Jazz, Pop, Funk, R&B, Ska, Classic Rock, Heavy Rock, Aggressive Rock, Nu-Metal...

Note: The two middle pickups still need to be confirmed later. (The goal is to have a regular straight Strat Middle pickup, and another one more aggressive, more punchy, etc... But that's another thread :)

Thanks for any feedback and recommendations :)

Here's a hint on the P-Rail in the neck position... mount it upside down. Makes a world of a difference. It's hard losing that 59'r though but now I'm feeling better about it. Before turning it it was way to bright in the rail and to woolly in the P-90. That small bit of placement change sure made a huge difference on the rail! Also helped brighten up the P90 and combo setting sounds better too.

I'm not the only one doing this either. I was really close to yanking the P-Rail & putting the 59'r back in. Until about 12 hours ago. Now I gotta really give it a run and see what I think.

If I had a 3rd pickup I'd have a Lil 59'r in between the P-Rail & JB. If it was 3 buckers It'd be the same but I'd play with switching the P-rail to middle and 59'r to neck. I really hate losing that fullsized 59'r at the neck. I think I'm gonna try it at the Bridge just to get it back in there.

Good luck. It's a hard call when you want them all. rich

Hi Rich,

You're actually not the first one that mention to flip the Neck P-Rail...

Hmm tough call indeed, even more now that you mention the Lil 59... Now, we wish they could build a P-Rail on a single-coil size, to have a P-Rail and the Lil 59 on the Neck... LOL

Thanks for the feedback :)
