P-Rail +?

I want to put a P-rail at the bridge of my Stratcaster but keep single coils at the other positions. Which single coils will match well with a P-rail?

if it were me id put a pair of ssl2 in there, cause they get tones i like. "matching" the prail is tricky cause you have four prail options: series, parallel, p90 coil, rail coil. on my prail i use the p90 coil more than half the time and use the other options as they suit the need. what are your plans for the prail switching?

I have a P-Rail in an LP Jr and, like you, I use the P90 most of the time.

I plan to set it up as a classic humbucker with P90 and single coil rail options. I tried the triple shot ring but the switches are too small for me. I'm not worried about a forth option. I want to keep the straty sounds in the neck and middle so anything with a very high output isn't my first choice. But I also want to keep volume levels even or close to even if I can.

What is more important to you...classic strat tone, volume balance, noiselessness, another sound entirely? Most single coils sound great with the P-Rail, so pick the EQ you want.

Well, I want to get close to Billy Gibbons and Leslie West with the bridge, modern Eric Clapton in the middle and Hendrix/SRV at the neck. Too much to ask for?
