P-Rails in a 335 style?

Re: P-Rails in a 335 style?

Thanks. So not a huge amount of top end, decent mids, fat bottom?

Depends on amp/board. And guitar, of course.

I have them in a very bassy 335 but only find the series humbucking to be too fat.

At the other end of the tonal spectrum is the rail, which isn’t as bright (or hot) as a typical telecaster.

The mids are smooth to my ears, no specific resonant peak that jumps out (compared to something like the JB) - my Whitney custom amp is low-mid heavy and the PRails don’t overload it, so they may have a slight scoop there.

I realized I don’t have a video out there of that guitar, so if I get chance, I’ll grab one later today.
