P-Rails in action. (Clip inside)

Just got finished tracking a new song for my band's upcoming CD. This is the first time that I've used the P-Rails to record. All of the rhythm tracks were done with the PRs, and the solo is all A2-59n. I think this show how versital the PR really is, as I'm sure that this wasn't the intended purpose that Seymour had in mind when they were designed...lol! Hope you guys dig it.

Dude, first of all, nice gear you have!

The track sounds really good. The A2-59n complemented the P-Rails bridge pretty well. What sounds do you have on your P-Rail?

Are you just using the series sound on this track? You have a nice rhythm and lead tone imo.

The drums sound GREAT! :P

I like the PRs tone alot, but I don't like the A2 '59... just my opinion.

soundgardener75: Yes, the P-Rail is being used in series. And thank you for the gear compliment!

supernosher: I'll let my drummer know that you like this tones. He's the guy who doing the recordings. It's cool if you don't dig some of the guitar tones. I take no offense. :) The solo is a bit muddy, but I wanted that erratic on the edge of falling type of feel to it. We were able to capture that, but the tone is not quite what I was after. However, I decided that we could EQ it later to help it cut better. I was happy with the take. Thanks for you comment though. :)

How many rythm tracks did you make? (I mean is it doubled, tripled, or more?) Really had no idea the P-Rails could sound like that with high gain! Sounds great for the rythm.

Lead I don't like too much. The stressed vibrato on some notes turns me off. That's just my taste anyways. The solo's sound is good though. A little muddy but that's cool to have thick bassy notes.

the rythm tracks were doubled. sent one track hard left and one hard right.

The P-Rails with high gain is pretty cool. THe A2-59 has it's uses but high gain solo tone in a Les Paul would be way too muddy for me even though it's pretty much what Slash uses, but then again I find his neck tone muddy.
