P-Rails review

A: I am an idiot. I installed them wrong the first time (had the neck where the bridge pup should be) and was wondering why it sounded so mushy :-)

B: Go and buy some.

I put them in a USA Kramer mutt (NOS Pacer body (ESP days) rerouted for HH, Kramer American Neck). I also put a brass block on the genuine Floyd Rose.

All of the sounds are pretty **** spot on that it claimed it could pull off. I am delighted.

I don't know what is being used when both switches (pup selector and 3 way switch) are centered but the clean sound is amazing. Is it both rails?

The ryth metal sound is great in all 3 modes. The volume drop isnt as bad as I thought it would be between modes. The neck pup is creamy without getting flubby and the rails stack up fine.

The weakest link is the rails neck/bridge but they still get a 7 out of 10.

It was my mission to create the ultimate live and recording guitar and thanks to SD I have done so. Clips to follow!

Re: P-Rails review

Here is a clip I did using the P-rails.

Lots of effects (to stay in with the era) but you can tell I use about 4 different pup configs during the song.

This is more for an amp forum I post on but it is my first time I used the P-Rails on anything so I thought peeps may be interested.

There is a treble booster used in some of the nasally parts.
