P-rails wiring scheme question...

Is it possible to wire a dual humbucker guitar with 2 p-rails to have the following options:

Humbuckers, p90 coil, rail coil switched using only 2 push pull DPDT pots and using the 3 way switch to select pickups normally.

If so anyone have a schematic?

Also would it be possible to control all that in addition to the humbuckers being in parallel with themselves?

Technically thats only 4 combinations so it might be possible with 4 combinations of pushpull you get from 2 DPDTs.

I expect someone here to just know off the top of their head who's more well versed in this stuff than I, and save myself some time drawing it all out! :fing2:

That schematic is one that will come with the pickups. Of course it will be on the website. But it will put the Humbuckers in series mode. If you want them in Parallel, I believe that can also be done with just two Push/Pulls. I just have to think about it. There is also a way to run two Push/Pulls in a manner that gives you ALL FOUR combinations. But again, I have to think about it. It will most likely be one of the diagrams on the website too.

Usually when you do a coil tap you only tap one of the coils though, with this one, you want the option of both which is where i find a problem. I have to think about it a bit too.

Re: P-rails wiring scheme question...

I already started drawing up some diagrams in anticipation of the requests. You can use one push-pull to split both, and the other push-pull to determine rails or P-90's. But you can't really do parallel with that switch configuration. It takes one complete DPDT switch to do parallel on one pup. (1 pp = 1 DPDT.)

Edit: To be honest, I don't think parallel will be that interesting on this pup. But then again, I've not heard one yet.
